Your choice
The bar at the bottom of every page is the control. It stays until you accept or decline.
How we use cookies
When you choose Accept or Decline, the browser stores a single key — ttd-cookie-choice — so we do not ask again on the next page. That storage is local to your browser. It is not an advertising profile. If you clear it, the bar returns. The kitchen cannot read that choice from another device.
What each choice means
- Necessary
- The site needs enough memory to open pages, keep a form from losing itself mid-type in some browsers, and remember the cookie bar answer. Without that, we would ask you the same question on every click.
- Anonymous counts
- If you accept, we may count visits in a way that does not name you. We use that to see whether the journal is read and whether the menus page is the door people actually use. If you decline, we do not run that count.
- Decline
- Every page, form, and map still works. You will not be blocked from asking for a table.
What we do not run
No guest wall, no ad stack
We do not drop marketing cookies for other firms. We do not retarget you around Halifax because you opened a menu. We do not embed networks that pull their own unexplained files. The map on the contact page comes from OpenStreetMap's public embed; if that third party sets its own cookie, that is their document, and you can decline our optional count regardless.
Changes
If this page moves
If we ever add a tool that needs more than the line above, we will change this page and the banner before we turn the tool on. We will not hide a new file behind an old sentence. Questions go to [email protected]. This site is hosted in Canada.
See also Privacy. The choice buttons live on every page, including this one.
